Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026. This policy explains what personal information Weld Plus collects through weldplus.ca, why we collect it and how we protect it. Weld Plus is operated by 10317047 Canada Corporation, Unit 6-100 Turbine Drive, North York, ON M9L 2S2. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us:

• Quote requests: your name, company, email, phone number, project location and the project details you write in.
• Job applications: your first and last name, email, phone number, message and the resume file you attach.
• Emails you send to info@weldplus.ca.

Analytics and cookies

If you press Accept on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: which pages they view, how they found us and whether they send a quote request. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects your approximate location, device and browser type. We have IP anonymization turned on, and we do not use these cookies for advertising purposes.

If you press Decline, or make no choice, Google Analytics does not load at all. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing your browser data.

How we use it

• To reply to your request, prepare a quote and manage the project with you.
• To review your job application and contact you about it.
• To keep records we are required to keep by law.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists.

Service providers

A few trusted companies help us run the site and may process your information on our behalf. Some of them store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

• Netlify hosts the site and receives form submissions.
• Google Analytics measures site visits, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Google (Gmail) receives the emails and form notifications sent to us.
• Cloudflare manages our domain and forwards email sent to info@weldplus.ca.
• Google Fonts delivers the site's fonts, which shares your IP address with Google.
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) suggests addresses as you type in the project location field. Only the text you type in that field is sent.

Information stored on your device

The Steel Calculator saves your takeoff list in your own browser so it is still there when you come back. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time by removing items or clearing your browser data. The site also remembers your cookie choice so the banner doesn’t keep asking.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and project records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and tax requirements, usually up to seven years. Job applications are kept for up to one year unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

How we protect it

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), forms are protected against spam bots, and access to submissions is limited to the people at Weld Plus who need it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to legal limits. Email info@weldplus.ca and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
